Stryker’s Community Heart Program allows Not for Profit Organisations across Australia and New Zealand to apply for the opportunity to run an online fundraising campaign using Stryker’s specifically designed platform to raise the funds required to obtain an AED for their very own community. Once approved, the NFP will be given the opportunity to tailor the platform to suit their very own branding and organisational requirements. The NFP will then be connected with one of Stryker’s Platinum Distribution Partners who will provide delivery of the AEDs in line with fundraising targets being met.
Stryker is one of the world’s leading medical technology companies and, together with our customers, is driven to make healthcare better. We offer innovative products and services in Orthopaedics, Medical and Surgical, and Neurotechnology and Spine that help improve patient and hospital outcomes.
An AED, or automated external defibrillator, is used to help those experiencing sudden cardiac arrest. It is a sophisticated, portable, easy to use medical device that can analyse the heart’s rhythm and, if necessary, deliver an electronic shock, or defibrillation, to help the heart re-establish an effective heart rhythm.
Yes, the online fundraising platform is 100% safe to use. Our online fundraising partner, Blackbaud’s JustGiving was carefully selected due to its long history of supporting the not for profit sector around the world and its strict compliance guidelines adherence.
Depending on the setup, any donation made through the Community Heart Program will go to the managing body of the club/church/school you’re donating to (e.g. Cricket Australia) or directly to the specific club/church/school you’ve elected to support.
Yes you can. The donation will be processed in the local currency of the organisation and your financial institution will make the currency adjustment when the transaction is debited to their bank account.
Upon completion of making your donation, you may opt-in to receive ongoing updates about the impact of your donation including notification when an AED has been placed at the organisation you supported.
